Top data for Woodcote High

Each year at the start of the Summer Term, Ofsted issue every school with a copy of their “Data Dashboard”. The Dashboard represents a formal end of year report based on the validated exam results from 2013.   The retrospective nature of the Dashboard accounts for the time it takes the Government’s statisticians to compile accurate validated and final data so that all schools can be compared equally.

The Dashboard makes a comparison of each school against:

A)   Every school in the country

B)  The most similar 50 or so schools

I am delighted to say that our results put us in the top or second quintile (5%) for both attainment and progress against both schools nationally and similar schools.   I am particularly pleased that our disadvantaged students make as good progress in English & Maths as all students do nationally . This Dashboard comes shortly after the publication of the National School Performance Tables (league tables) in which Woodcote was in the top three Croydon state schools and in the top three of similar schools nationally, for the number of students gaining at least 5 A* – C grades at GCSE including Mathematics and English.
